Modern Day Lady Mary

Tonight, the third season of Downton Abbey airs stateside. In addition to the upstairs/downstairs drama, I'm looking forward to the costumes. Especially as the ladies make their way into the Roaring Twenties. It's fun to see how the wardrobe of that time is still relevant today. Or maybe it's just that their costume designer does an impeccable job of making their looks transcend time. Take Lady Mary's frock from season one, for example. Nothing is more timeless than a striped dress.

This scene of the sisters floating through the grounds of Downton serves as inspiration for a spring ensemble circa 2013. A modern day Lady Mary, if you will.
